Gecko Hunt
Gecko Hunt is an infinite runner question-answer game where you have to use your rifle, your wits, and your situational awareness alike to hunt down and survive evil geckos and fire-breathing snakes.
Keybinds:
- W/S or ↑/↓ - move hunter along the width of the path
- Space - shoot
- 1/2/3/4 - answer questions (buttons can also be clicked)
- Z - buy ammo (button can also be clicked)
- X - buy HP (button can also be clicked)
Current version: v0.1.2 (19 May 2024).
- Features:
- The current version of Gecko Hunt is now displayed at the top right of the main menu.
- UI is now anchored and can expand/contract with any screen size.
- The MS Paint answer button background has been replaced by coloring the buttons the answers are on.
- Credits slightly altered. Thank you flowerpetal___ for catching UI errors!
- Bugs:
- Collectibles do not play sounds when eaten.
- Background prefabs have a chance of clipping through each other when gliding across the screen.
- Inconsistency with what the player’s HP is referred to.
- Planned near-future features:
- Add screenshot of the main game screen to the instructions text.
- Bring total number of trivia questions to at least 100.
- Besides an extra enemy or two spawning, add a way of indicating whether the player answered a question correctly.
- To further disincentivize leaving questions unanswered, have one more extra enemy spawn in for every consecutive question left unanswered.
- Debug collectibles not playing sounds when eaten.
- Fix inconsistency in references to player’s HP.
